My Approach

Working Together

I’m an integrative counsellor with a strong person‑centred foundation. I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework. This guides my work and supports safe, ethical practice that honours your agency and autonomy.

As an integrative practitioner, I may draw on a range of approaches to support our work. I offer both short‑term and longer‑term therapy depending on what feels most helpful for you.

We'll work at your pace. I'll support you as you explore your experiences and gain new insights that can deepen your understanding and help you make sense of the patterns in your life.

Patterns often rooted in the past may show up in our relationships, thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and our internal narratives.

Becoming aware of these patterns and approaching them with curiosity and self-compassion can support gentle exploration and reflection. As awareness grows, new ways of being and relating can emerge, allowing you to respond to life with greater self-understanding, freedom, and confidence.

Healing Through Connection

I believe that healing occurs in safe, supportive relationships through connection, trust, mutual respect, and collaboration. These values sit at the heart of my practice.

The therapeutic relationship is your space. I will meet you with compassion and acceptance as we work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Your Right to Thrive & Grow

You have the right to build relationships that support you, to feel grounded in your experience, to take up space in the world, to dream, and to pursue what matters to you.

Because you matter.

About Me

Rooted in Lived Experience

My commitment to counselling is rooted in my lived experience of trauma, loss, and the mental health challenges I navigated during my own recovery. Hope and self‑compassion carried me through those times, and now form the foundation of my therapeutic work.

A Space Where You Are Seen and Valued

I know first‑hand how important it is to have a confidential space where you feel genuinely seen, heard and valued. This is at the heart of my practice. My commitment to you is to offer a relationship where your experience is met with compassion, curiosity and respect.

Experience That Shapes My Practice

I’ve supported adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges in different professional roles spanning 15 years in both community‑based mental health recovery and crisis services. Alongside this, I’ve facilitated creative wellbeing groups that grew naturally from my earlier work in community arts and the group facilitation I completed during my degree in creative therapies. These experiences shaped a deep appreciation for each person’s uniqueness and contribution.

Inclusive Practice

Working with people from ethnically diverse communities, and from many different social, cultural and religious backgrounds, has strengthened my belief that each person’s experience can only be understood within the context of their own life.

I aim to create a space where your voice and experiences are heard, respected, and valued. I work in a way that is sensitive to context and power dynamics, and I take seriously the impact of discrimination, oppression, inequality, and the different forms of privilege that shape our lives.

A Space to Be Yourself

Reflective Pathways Counselling is a space where you can truly be yourself and explore at a pace that feels right for you.
